Cushman & Wakefield offers a 2-year commercial graduate programme aims towards Chartership, involving 3x8 month rotations and structured training by a supportive team of colleagues and seniors providing the best possible start to your career in property.

Commercial Property

ELIGIBILITY

Final year / recent undergraduate with 2:1 from any degree discipline or a postgraduate studying for a RICS accredited Masters

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will study for the Commercial APC Pathway through RICS. You will take on 3x8 month rotations across the business to build your practical experience. 

Building Surveying / project management / quantity surveying

ELIGIBILITY

Final year / recent undergraduate with 2:1 in a specific accredited degree.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will follow a training programme aligned to a relevant APC Pathway through RICS. This programme is non-rotational, but you will have plenty of opportunities to build up broad experience across the whole department.

interior design

ELIGIBILITY

Final year / recent undergraduate with 2:1 in a relevant degree.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will support the team in space planning and test fits, help in the processes for new concepts and create design documents for presentations. Support and training, meanwhile, will be ongoing.

residential

ELIGIBILITY

Final year undergraduate / current postgraduate with 2:1 from RICS accredited programme.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will receive all the training and support you need to achieve your Residential APC qualification through RICS. You’ll gain extensive practical experience on rotations in a number of Residential areas, including Valuation, Development Agency/Consultancy and New Homes.

planning

ELIGIBILITY

Final year undergraduate / current postgraduate with 2:1 from RTPI accredited programme.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This programme is designed to enable you to develop the skills and expertise you need to pass the Planning APC qualification through the RTPI. The company is involved in a range of complex regeneration, acquisition and disposal projects and you’ll contribute to a diversity of Planning work.

Fill out the application form online. You will be also asked to complete online psychometric tests relevant to the area you’re applying for.

If your online application was successful you will be invited for an interview. This could be in person, over the phone, or via Skype.

If successful at interview, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre. This will involve group activities designed to test your skills and team working ability. There will also be a final interview with a Partner. You’ll also meet some of current grads and apprentices giving you the opportunity to find out more about what it’s like to work for Cushman & Wakefield.

During the internship you’ll attend workshops, learn from professionals, and work on live projects. You’ll be assigned a buddy to help you along, and you’ll work to real objectives set by your team – giving you plenty of opportunities to show what you can do. And to make sure you get a fully rounded experience, there will be networking opportunities and social events too.

It is a demanding yet rewarding course of learning and hands on experience. It’s also a great opportunity to get a taste for global real estate and see whether the industry is right for you. Excel, and you could be offered a place on their graduate scheme at the end.

Duration: 6 weeks paid internship

eligibility

To apply, you must be in your penultimate year of study (either undergraduate or with a place secured on a masters course) and be on course for a 2:1.

Except for Commercial, which you can apply to from any degree discipline, your degree must be specific to the programme area you apply for.
